Journalist / Politician

Jas Gawronski

EEntering Andrea Cusumano's studio immediately arouses a sense of involvement and efficiency that generates safety and serenity. Apart from the people who happen to meet you from the most famous TV star to the lawyer just involved in a trial that the whole press is talking about.

But then there are also simple people, let's say poor people, to whom I know that Andrea dedicates himself as if to a mission, not even expecting gratitude from them. Then when the time comes to meet the "Doctor", you can feel the great humanity of Andrea and his professionalism that he reassures and comforts on every occasion. But it is outside the studio that Andrea and his wife amazed me the most, for their curiosity, for the most varied interests, for the harmony that unites them, and for the profound religious sense that animates them.

An episode sums up the great esteem I have for Andrea. A mutual friend had a serious eye problem that Andrea was certainly able to solve but he knew that another doctor was more experienced in the subject. Well Andrea not only pointed it out to him but he accompanied him to his colleague, on the other side of Europe, to show how much he cared. I don't think many doctors would have behaved in the same style.
